Program Overview
Kauhale @ Iwilei Center provides emergency Shelter and Stabilization Services for Adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorders, major depression, and PTSD.
It also provides 24/7 trauma-informed residential shelter services for adults experiencing homelessness who require psychiatric stabilization, case management, and coordinated support on their path toward housing.
The program works closely with hospitals, crisis centers, behavioral health providers, and community partners to provide a structured and safe environment where residents can stabilize, engage in services, and work toward long-term housing solutions.

Kauhale @ Iwilei Center serves as a community stabilization bridge between hospitals, crisis services, and long-term housing solutions.
The program supports individuals who may otherwise cycle between emergency departments, crisis stabilization units, and unsheltered homelessness by providing a safe residential environment and coordinated services.
